Ginger milk curd is a Chinese hot dessert originated in Shawan town of Panyu District, Guangzhou in the Guangdong Province. It is tasted sweet and **ooth, but a little bit spicy which can warm people’s stomach. Old Ginger is good for people's healthy that it can prevent thrombus and myocardial infarction.

It is said that old gingers are spicy, aged men are lubricity. However, sometimes the spicy gingers could make trouble.

There is a story about ginger milk curd in Shawan town. Once upon a time, an old woman wanted to use the ginger to cure her cough, but the ginger was too spicy to eat. One day, the old woman's daughter - in - law decant milk in a bowl with ginger carelessly, and the milk became curd strangely. The old woman felt this curd was sweet, instead of spicy, and her cough disappeared in the second day. Since then, ginger milk curd has been becoming popular in Shawan town.
